"Section 69 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 empowers the Central Government or a State Government to intercept, monitor or decrypt or cause to be intercepted or monitored or decrypted, any information generated, transmitted, received or stored in any computer resource in the interest of the sovereignty or integrity of India, security of the State, friendly relations with foreign States or public order or for preventing incitement to the commission of any cognizable offence relating to above or for investigation of any offence," MHA replied.

Jolt for Delhi Police as HC dismisses its plea to lodge FIR against lawyers

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Tuesday filed an application in the Delhi High Court seeking clarification of its Sunday`s order in the Tiz Hazari clash. The ministry had moved the clarification on the aspect that the order pertains to only the FIRs that have been registered on November 2 when the incident took place and is not applicable to any subsequent event.

Kartarpur corridor to see movement of people by November 11: MHA

Addressing the press, MHA Additional Secretary Govind Mohan, said that there are three works that are part of India's Kartarpur corridor project. Firstly, an extra highway of 3.5 km being made from the Gurdaspur-Batala highway till the border point will be completed by October 31. He added that 70 per cent of it has been completed.

Retirement age for all Central Forces personnel fixed at 60 years: MHA
