No bullet fired by Delhi Police during protests against Citizenship Amendment Act at Jamia: MHA sources

Ten people, having criminal backgrounds, were on Tuesday arrested in connection with the violent protests between the Delhi Police and students of Jamia Millia Islamia University. Among those arrested, none are students, the police said.

Delhi Police on Jamia violence: Outside People were involved, avoid rumors

After the violence in Jamia, the Delhi Police now has to give a press conference and clarified the rumours that spread like fire. PRO MS Randhawa appeared before the media on behalf of Delhi Police. He spoke about the involvement of Jamia students as well as nearby people in the protest. He said that no bullet has been fired from the police nor has anyone died due to violence. Randhawa also said to be careful and avoid rumours.

Police said they entered the university campus only to control the situation after protesters indulged in violence near New Friends' Colony area in south Delhi. Jamia VC Najma Akhtar claims 750 fake ID cards found inside campus

The students of Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia University, who were detained by the Delhi Police after a protest march against the citizenship law ended in violence on December 15 have received strong backing from the university's Vice-Chancellor Najma Akhtar. Citizenship Act protest spreads across nation, Jamia students resume agitation

Citizenship (Amendment) Bill was passed by the Parliament and now is a law. However, this act did not receive any good feedback from across the nation. People started protesting against the new law and the first protest started from the Northeast and then in no time spread to various parts of the country including Delhi, Hyderabad and Lucknow. CAA protest: Jamia girl students returning home due to insecure environment
