West Indies vs India 2016: Virat Kohli & Co to play four-match Test series in Caribbean

New Delhi: India will play West Indies as part of a four-match Test series in July and August.

According to a report on ESPNCricinfo, exact dates are yet to be fixed by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

BCCI had earlier suspended all bilateral engagements with the WICB after they abandoned their team's tour to India mid-way in late 2014.

"The official word is that the tour is on," Cameron told Cricket Radio in Nagpur on Sunday.

"We are just awaiting confirmation of the venues now. And once we have done that, we will send out a release with the dates, the venues and everything."

Cameron also clarified with regards to the relations between the two cricket boards.

"You know, the truth is I am not sure where the talk of bad relations with the WICB and the BCCI have come from. We have always maintained good relations. Fortunately or unfortunately, the leadership of the BCCI has changed, and as you know, Mr Shashank Manohar is now the president, BCCI, and chairman of the ICC, and he has made some changes there as well, and we've been able to move forward in an efficient way," he further added.

While West Indies are no longer a potent force in Test cricket, the tour will give Virat Kohli a chance to test his leadership for the first time outside the sub-continent in a full series.

Virat has enjoyed tremendous success as skipper, winning back-to-back series against Sri Lanka and South Africa.
