New Delhi: Tales of Vinod Kambli's childhood friendship with Sachin Tendulkar is stuff of legends in Mumbai's cricketing circles.
The duo set the junior cricket scene on fire and had earned a name for themselves at a young age.
However, Tendulkar went on to fulfill his potential while Kambli's India career was cut short due to inconsistent form.
With Kambli in self-destruct mode, Sachin maintained distance from him and in the process the two grew apart.
On Monday, memories of their friendship were rekindled when Kambli posted a rather interesting one-worded tweet.
Twitter handle @classifiedfact that updates daily facts on the social micro-blogging site posted this: Any friendship that exceeds the 7 year mark is most likely to last a lifetime
This status update perhaps touched Kambli's raw nerve. He quoted the post and wrote: Wrong

It did not take his followers too long to figure out who and what the former left-hander was referring to. Wasting no time they trolled Kambli again, agitating him further.
