New Delhi: Months after they ended their lucrative deal with the Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) by withdrawing as the title sponsor of Indian Premier League (IPL), soft drink giant PepsiCo on Thursday renewed their partnership with the Indian board.
Pepsi signed a new four-year deal with BCCI where they will be board's beverage and snacks sponsor on ground over the next four years for international fixtures in India.
The BCCI also shared photographs of secretary Anurag Thakur along with D Shivakumar, chairman and chief executive of PepsiCo India.

Speaking at the occasion, Thakur said that the day they pulled out as IPL's title sponsors, they told the board that they will stil be there in one way or the other.
Notably, in October last year, PepsiCo terminated its five-year contract as title sponsor for the IPL, two years ahead of schedule after the cash-rich tournament was marred with a series of spot-fixing and betting scandals.
