IND vs BAN: Virat Kohli Matches Sachin Tendulkar In International Record

The former India skipper Virat Kohli reached 12,000 runs at home. He attained the feat while playing against Bangladesh on Day 2 of the 1st Test in Chennai. 

Virat Kohli also became the second player after Sachin Tendulkar to achieve the landmark.

The Delhi-based player reached his milestone while batting in the second innings of the match.

Kohli who said goodbye to the shortest format of the game reached the feat in his 219th match for the Indian cricket team. 

The former India skipper scored 12,000+ runs at an average of 58.84 with the help of 38 hundreds and 59 fifties. 

Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar are two of the top-rated players in the list who have dominated while playing at the home soil.

The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is close to achieving the feat as he is three and a half thousand runs away from Kohli.
