Chennai: Even as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump traded barbs in their final pitch to voters as the curtain came down on the ugliest campaign in US history and voting began on Tuesday in the knife-edge polls, Chennai-resident 'Chanakya' the fish has predicted Republican presidential candidate to win.
Earlier, the flowerhead cichlid fish had predicted the results of the 2015 cricket World Cup semi-finals correctly.
It had declared New Zealand winners before the match and had gone on to predict India’s fate in the semi-final match with Australia too.
As per media reports, the fish was given two floating feed sticks each with photos of Clinton and Trump.
It swam towards the stick that had Trump’s photo on it.
However, the fish had wrongly predicted an India win in the World Cup cricket finals which Australia won.
It sits in a tank at the Indian Community Welfare Organisation NGO office in Chennai.
