New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Saturday announced the results of the Civil Services Examination 2014.

As per the UPSC, women candidates have bagged all top three slots in the prestigious examination which helps find future IAS and IPS officers among others.

Ira Singhal of Delhi has topped the examination. Ira, who is physically challenged, is an Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officer.

"I am really very happy. I can't believe this. I just prepared for the examination," Ira said after the results were announced.

"I want to be an IAS officer. I want to do something for the benefit of physically-handicapped people," said Ira, who topped the exam in general category.

Renu Raj bagged the second rank in civil services exams in her first attempt. She is a doctor by profession and hails from Kottayam in Kerala.

"I am extremely happy to know the result. I have been preparing for the exam for the last one year," she told PTI from Thiruvananthapuram.

Renu presently works at a hospital in Kollam.

Nidhi Gupta, who also hails from Delhi and is an Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officer, claimed the third rank.

"It is really a proud moment. I put in lot of hard work and finally it paid," Nidhi said after declaration of results.

She is presently Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise.
