PM Narendra Modi congratulates successful UPSC aspirants

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to the successful aspirants of the Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC) civil service exams.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to the successful aspirants of the Union Public Service Commission ( UPSC) civil service exams.

The Prime Minister took to twitter to share his message.

"Congratulations to all those who successfully cleared the Civil Services Exam & my best wishes as you begin the journey to serve the nation," he wrote.

"To those who didn't clear the exam- such moments are a part of life. This must not deter you from your future endeavours. My best wishes," he added.

A total of 1,236 candidates have been recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and central services in the results announced on Saturday afternoon.

A total of 254 candidates have also been kept in a consolidated reserved list.

Candidate Ira Singhal topped the examination, with Renu Raj and Nidhi Gupta coming second and third.
