Three more arrested in Akku Yadav murder case

Nagpur, Jan 05: Sleuths of the state CID (Crime) have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in the lynching of notorious criminal Akku Yadav on August 13 in a court chamber, and remanded them to police custody till Jan 7.

Police today said the three persons -- brothers Ritesh Sukhdeo Humne (22) and Nilesh alias Nilu Humne (25) and one Rajesh alias Raja Bhedrya alias Chandrabhan Dhonge (30) -- were arrested yesterday from their residences in Kasturbanagar.

They were produced before judicial magistrate for first class Ishrat Anjum, who remanded them to police custody. With the arrest of these three, the total number of
arrests in the case has gone up to 13.

Meanwhile, police have recovered from the three persons, clothes worn by them at the time of the killing. Akku Yadav, who was killed by an angry mob, including women, in a local courtroom on August 13, was facing a number of cases including murder and rape.

Initially, five women, including an aged lady and a pregnant woman, were detained by police in the case but they were later released.
