Mumbai, Feb 02: King Khan’s ‘Red Chillies Productions’ has won the plagiarism case filed against his TV production ‘Ghar Ki Baat Hai’. The case was filed by Neha Joshi, the daughter of Sharad Joshi, who had scripted 1980`s hit serial ‘Ye Jo Hai Zindagi’.
‘Ghar Ki…’ which started recently was touted as a tribute to ‘Ye Jo Hai Zindagi’ by SRK himself. Khan had also said that he was aiming at bringing cinematic value to the small screens with the same.

According to reports, the idea of an apparent tribute had not gone too well with Ms Joshi and she decided to take the matter to the court. Since the serial doesn’t seem to be a rip off of the old classic, the verdict was given in SRK’s favour, and the serial is reported to be more of a contemporary product rather than an old recast.
