New Delhi, Jan 07: Describing the announcement of a
poll pact between Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha as
"unilateral", the CPI(M) today expressed reservations over it
but said it would continue discussions with the two parties.

"It is a unilateral announcement and not in line with our
thinking," CPI(M) polit bureau member Sitaram Yechury told newspersons
when asked to comment on JMM chief Sibu Soren's statement that
his party would contest on 35 seats, Congress on 33 and other
allies on the remaining 13 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly
polls.

Yechury, however, said his party and other Left Parties
would continue to hold discussions on the matter with JMM and
Congress.
