New Delhi, May 10: Congress on Sunday played down Bihar
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attending the NDA rally in
Ludhiana claiming that the JD(U) chief`s move was on
"expected" lines.
"You do not expect him to sing paeans for Congress on the
eve of elections," Congress leader Kapil Sibal said.
He said the JD (U) leader attending the NDA rally was
expected. "It is expected. It is politics...it is Nitish`s
politics," Sibal told reporters.
In a show of unity, NDA leader came together at a rally
in Punjab`s Ludhiana in which Bihar Chief Minister Nitish
Kumar shed his reservations to share the stage with his
Gujarat counterpart and BJP leader Narendra Modi.
The BJP-led alliance also got a boost when Telangana
Rashtra Samiti (TRS) broke ranks with the Third Front--a
grouping of Left and regional parties--and its chief K
Chandrashekar Rao appeared on the NDA platform.
