Vijayawada (AP), Jan 05: The ashes of former Prime
Minister P V Narasimha Rao were immersed in Krishna river at
the VIP Ghat here today.
Earlier, the ashes of Rao, who died in New Delhi on
December 23, were brought by his brother Manohar Rao and grand
son and kept at Andhra Ratna Bhavan for one hour to enable
people to pay their respects.
The ashes were then taken into a procession to the river
for immersion.
Among those present on the occasion were Andhra Pradesh
higher Education Minister P Venkateswara Rao and city Congress
unit president Kadyala Butchi Babu.
