Mamata to stick to alliance with Congress

Notwithstanding Congress` overtures to Left parties for a post-poll tie-up, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said there was "no question mark" over her party`s alliance with Congress.

Kolkata, May 10: Notwithstanding Congress`
overtures to Left parties for a post-poll tie-up, Trinamool
Congress (TC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said there was "no
question mark" over her party`s alliance with Congress.

Seeking to put a cap on speculation over TC`s ties
with Congress in the wake of Rahul Gandhi`s overtures to
CPI(M) for support to form a Congress-led government at the
centre, Mamata said, "Congress will form the government
without Left support."

"I believe that Congress will not need support from
CPI-M and there is no question mark over our alliance with
Congress," she said here.

Mamata, whose party was with the NDA earlier, added,
"We will not go along with BJP or NDA in any case."
