Nagpur, Nov 20: Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar felicitated noted Marathi litterateur and `Kirtan-Kar' Ram Shewalkar at a function here on his 75th birthday.
Lata, accompanied by her brother Hridayanath Mangeshkar, flew down here to felicitate Shewalkar last night, sources said.
Speaking on the occasion, Lata said she felt privileged to felicitate a legendary figure like Shewalkar and stressed the importance of meaningful and purposeful words, "without which no song is complete".
In his address, Shewalkar lamented the `loss of sensitivity among people in the society'.
