Himachal contributes Rs two crore for Tsunami-hit areas

New Delhi, Jan 06: Himachal Pradesh has sent Rs two crore as first installment of its contribution for the relief of Tsunami-affected people.

relief of Tsunami-affected people.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said the state will
contribute a total of Rs five crore to the Prime Minister's
relief fund.

"In this hour of distress, the people of Himachal
Pradesh stand by the people who lost their near and dear ones
and have suffered loss to property in the tsunami tragedy,"
Singh said in a statement.
