Four IPS officers of Bihar transferred

Patna, Jan 07: Abiding by the directive of the election commission, Bihar government has transferred four IPS officers including two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGS).

Patna, Jan 07: Abiding by the directive of the
election commission, Bihar government has transferred four IPS
officers including two Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGS).

The DIG of Tirhut range R K Singh would be replaced by
the DIG (Railways) Gupteshwar Pandey. Singh would take over
as new dig (railways), an official notification issued here
yesterday said.

Ajitabh Kumar, Superintendent of Police Nalanda, would
be new SP of Bhojpur district while Bhojpur SP A K Ambedkar
would take over as new SP of Nalanda.

The EC had earlier directed the state government to
remove Ajitabh Kumar from Nalanda as he was posted in his home
district while dig of Tirhut range R K Singh was shifted as he
was posted in Muzaffarpur for more than three years.

The state government also notified fresh postings of
22 officers who were recently promoted to the IAS from Bihar
administrative service.
