FIR against 10 for death of teenager in Jaipur

Police registered a case of murder against 10 people for their alleged involvement in the death of an 18-year-old teenager whose body was fished out of a pond from Marva village in Kota.

Jaipur, Sept 17: Police registered a case of murder against 10 people for their alleged involvement in the death of an 18-year-old teenager whose body was fished out of a pond from Marva village in Kota.

Mahaveer, a student of Class 10, went missing since Monday and his body was seen floating in the pond yesterday, police said.

Later, the body was fished out and handed over to the
parents after conducting post-mortem, they said.

Parents and relatives of Mahaveer said the boy had
gone to see Anathchaturdeshi festival but did not return home
in the night.

They claimed that Khatoon police had initially refused to
register a case but after the intervention of IG (Utkal)
Ranjan Sahu an FIR under sections 302 and 120 (criminal
conspiracy) of the IPC was filed against 10 people.

An FIR has been filed and a probe launched against the 10
who have been named by the parents of the deceased, police
said.
