Mumbai, Jan 22: Bollywood actress and yesteryears sensation Parveen Babi was found dead in her flat in Juhu today under mysterious circumstances.
The police broke open the door of her apartment, when she did not respond to the doorbell. The police was apparently called by her neighbours, who got suspicious after they were told by the milkman that she was not picking up the milk packets for the last three days.
Then they tried to contact the actress over the phone, however, she did not answer the calls. So, they finally decided to call the police.
She had been living an isolated life for many years now and the neighbours had no information of any of her relatives.
Babi had worked in several hit movies with Amitabh Bachchan including Suhaag, Shaan, Kalia, Deewar, Namak Halal, Amar Akbar Anthony, Majboor, Khuddar etc.
Various members of the film fraternity have expressed sorrow over her death.
