Mumbai, Feb 09: Aamir Khan known for his penchant for perfectionism has begun the shooting of his latest Hindi film, based on the lives of today`s youth.
Khan who has changed his style for the character he portrays in the movies, has again changed his style for "Rang De Basanti", a film where he is playing a disco jockey.
"It`s basically a film about the youth of today and where these youngsters are moving in their life. What is happening in our day to day life and socially what is happening," Khan told a news conference.
Khan has also changed his hairstyle for the film and now sports a terrifically young look, which he says is in sync with his character, as he did in his superhit film Dil Chahta Hai and the upcoming The Rising.
Incidentally The Rising dealing with the 1857 first war of independence, is one of the eagerly awaited films of the year.
The film produced by UTV and directed by adman Rakesh Mehra will also have another top actor, whose casting is yet to be done.
"The genre of both the films is different. Aks was a paranormal thriller it is a contemporary modern day drama, youth drama," said Mehra.
