New Delhi, Feb 09: Months after the unceremonious sacking of Anupam Kher as Film Censor Board chief, the
government has reconstituted the entire board, removing 18 of the 21 members midway through their term while completely reconstituting the Chennai and Hyderabad advisory panels.
Eighteen new faces have been inducted in the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), now headed by Sharmila Tagore.
"More are to follow," a senior official in the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said when asked whether heads would roll in the seven remaining advisory panels.
