New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders speedster Trent Boult didn't have the best of evenings with the ball after being hit for 40 runs in his 4 overs against Gujara Lions with just one wicket, but the New Zealander was at his athletic best as he produced a flying effort to prevent the opposition captain, Suresh Raina, from hitting a six.

Well-known for his athleticism, having grabbed a number of brilliant catches for the Kiwis, Boult was fielding on the mid-wicket boundary for KKR on Friday when Raina launched a shot destined to cross the boundary, in in his direction.

Launching himself over the boundary rope and horizontal to the ground, Boult pouched the ball and in the same motion threw it back into the field of play before hitting the deck. The crowd, seeing the Kiwi star's incredible effort, applauded him with huge roar and claps.

Here's the video of Boult's flying effort on the boundary rope:-
