Microsoft Corporation is finally releasing its much awaited new operating system, the Windows 10 across the globe on Wednesday.
After much anticipated about the release date of Windows 10 after its name was revealed in September 2014, the day is finally here.
The upgrade to the new version of Windows operating system is free and while we have given steps on how to upgrade them, here are specifications or requirements for your system in order to enjoy the luxury of the new smoother, safer and easier Windows 10.
Latest OS: The free upgrade to Windows 10 is available only to those using Windows 7 version and above. So, make sure that you have the latest OS version, i.e. either Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update.
Processor: Your system or computer needs to have a minimum speed of 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit is the requirement in order to upgrade your system.
Hard disk space: Your computer needs to have a minimum hard disk space of 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS
Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver is essential in order to upgrade.
Display: System needs to have a screen display of 1024x600 to get the free update.
