New Delhi: Social networking site has revealed its data on the fastest growing Indian Twitter accounts this year (2014).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tops the list and has registered a growth of over 54 percent with a follower count of around 5 million. He added 4,629,463 followers this year.
Aamir Khan stands at the second postion with a growth rate of 39.82 percent. He managed to add 3,952,276 followers in 2014.
Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan ranked at number three and four. Both the superstars marked a growth of 31.74 percent and 35.34 percent in terms of followers respectively.
Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone managed to add significant followers this year and stood at number fifth and sixth rank. Khan added 3,207,672 followers and Padukone added 3,033,837 followers.
Hrithik Roshan and actress Priyanka Chopra were ranked seventh and eighth who managed a growth rate of 32 percent and 29.93 percent.
Interestingly, the Prime Minister’s Office’s (@PMOIndia) account grew by 60 percent over the year and was ranked at number nine.
Last but not the least, Akshay Kumar held the last position who added 2,306,299 followers which added upto 34.31 percent.
