Hong Kong stocks open 0.73% higher

The Hang Seng Index added 199.95 points to 27,723.67.

Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks rose 0.73 percent in the first few minutes of trade Friday following another record close on Wall Street while investors were also tracking a rally in Shanghai.

The Hang Seng Index added 199.95 points to 27,723.67.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.23 percent, or 55.56 points, to 4,584.98.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China`s second exchange, added 1.58 percent, or 42.92 points, to 2,756.34.
