New Delhi: Tata Steel on Friday reported 12.55 percent growth in crude steel production at 9.15 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in 2013-14 from Indian operations.
The flagship firm of the Tata group had produced 8.13 MTPA steel during 2012-13.
In a filing to the BSE, the company said that it produced 8.95 MTPA saleable steel, up 12.72 percent, in 2013-14, while production of hot metal grew by 11.74 percent at 9.90 MTPA.
Its coal production from West Bokaro and Jharia mines stood at 3.65 million tonnes in the last fiscal, the company added.
Moreover, the company's ores, mines and quarries (OMQ) division recorded highest ever production of iron ore and its dispatches at 17.3 MT, up 15 percent.
