Nexus 9 listed on Google India Play Store; to sell at Rs 28,900

It has listed the tablet with a 'Coming Soon' label. The 32GB Nexus 9 variant with Wi-Fi has been priced at Rs 44,900, making it the most expensive Google tablet ever in India.

New Delhi: After Google announced the global launch of Nexus 9 on October 16, Google India Play Store has listed the Nexus 9 (16GB version) on its website with a price tag of Rs 28,900.

It has listed the tablet with a 'Coming Soon' label. The 32GB Nexus 9 variant with Wi-Fi has been priced at Rs 44,900, making it the most expensive Google tablet ever in India.

The official leather cover listed on the site will cost Rs 2,900. The HTC-made Google Nexus 9 features an 8.9-inch IPS display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The Nexus 9 features 2048 x 1536 pixels of resolution that places it at par with the Apple iPad Air.

The Nexus 9 will be the first tablet to run Android 5.0 Lollipop. The tablet has 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.6MP front camera. It also has a 6,700mAh battery that lasts up to 9.5 hours on a single charge.

Nexus 9 is powered by the 64-bit quad-core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, clocked at 2.3GHz. The body is madeof plastic but features metallic trims on the sides. It also has front-facing speakers.
