New Delhi: Dell India has launched --Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme --range of notebooks, made to withstand heavy rains, moisture and a weight to over 60kgs on them.
Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme and Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme are the two laptops that the company has to offer and are priced at Rs 2,29,999 and Rs 2,39,999, respectively.
The bodies of theses notebooks make them perfect for those working in military service, manufacturing, construction, heavy industries and other such fields.
The rugged notebooks can operate in temperatures ranging from minus 29-degrees Celsius to 63-degrees Celsius, a withstand drop of about six feet, tolerate blowing dust and rains, the company said.
The Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme gives you a choice between Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 dual core processors, and offer up to 16GB of RAM. Intel HD Graphics 4400 are accessible through the i3 and i5 models, while Intel HD Graphics 5000 are provided by the i7 variant. This device lends a 14-inch 1366 x 768 pixel resistive multi-touch display, and comes with a full HD webcam.
The processor, GPU and RAM choices for the Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme are same as the other model. It holds on it an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixel resistive multi-touch display, a full HD webcam and an 8MP rear camera with LED flash.
Both the notebooks can be ordered with Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit), Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), Windows 8.1 (64-bit), Windows 7 Professional (32-bit) or Linux Ubuntu 12.04 installed on them.
