A special drive for creating awareness about the healthcare potentials of Yoga and Naturopathy has been launched by the Ministry of AYUSH as part of its preparations to celebrate 'International Day of Yoga' on June 21.

New Delhi: A special drive for creating awareness about the healthcare potentials of Yoga and Naturopathy has been launched by the Ministry of AYUSH as part of its preparations to celebrate 'International Day of Yoga' on June 21.

The Ministry has taken up project of organising free yoga camps in all the districts of the country from May 21 to June 21, with the help of various government and non-governmental organisations.

These camps will be conducted by Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), an autonomous body under the ministry.

In addition to this, 100 free yoga camps will also be organised in Delhi NCR for general public.

"The main objective of organising these camps is to create awareness in general public about the healthcare benefits of yoga for leading happy and healthy life. All the necessary information and details in this regard is available on the website of CCRYN," said CCRYN official.

A mass yoga program will be organised on June 21 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead around 45,000 people at Rajpath as part of his international drive to increase participation in the ancient Indian discipline.
