Hoax bomb call triggers panic in Purushottam Express, train halted at UP’s Chunar

Dagmagpur station master on April 30 received a bomb threat call to the Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express train near Jhingura railway station. Soon after the call, Purushottam Express train was stopped and Bomb Disposal Squad was also called to get the entire train checked. “A bomb threat call was received by the Dagmagpur station master from an unknown number about a bomb planted in the engine of the Purushottam Express. The bomb threat turned out to be a hoax. We called 2 teams of BDS (Bomb Disposal Squad) and got the entire train checked. The BDS team has confirmed that no explosive or suspicious object was found. All the passengers on board the train are safe. The train has been dispatched after no suspicious object was found,” said Additional SP Shrikant Prajapati.
