The Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre on Thursday imposed a ban on Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), Jammu and Kashmir and declared it as an ‘unlawful association’ under Section 3 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
