During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi said, "I am a Kashmiri Pandit." This is his second visit to J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. Critics have pointed to a significant increase in the Congress leader's displays of religiosity ahead of the elections, such as temple visits and revelations by colleagues of his Brahmin lineage.
