LUCKNOW: A class 4 student on Thursday died after he was slapped by his teacher. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia.
Following the incident, the student was admitted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the accused teacher. "A case has been registered against the accused teacher on complaint of victim's parents," Ballia SP, Anil Kumar said.
On January 27, a 12-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh was slapped 168 times over a period of six days by her classmates at a residential school on the instructions of their teacher.
The incident took place at the Navodaya Vidyalaya in Thandla town and the girl's father, Shivpratap Singh, told police that she was slapped 168 times between January 11 to16 for not completing her homework.
On January 14, a Class 3 student lost hearing ability in his right ear after his mathematics teacher in Delhi's Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir allegedly slapped him.
