RAMPUR: A man in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur has been accused of raping a girl for one year and reportedly impregnating her.
Upon discovering her pregnancy, the girl approached the police and registered a complaint against the man.
As per the victim, the man had reportedly recorded the act was using it to blackmail her for the past one year. The accused even refused to marry her when he learnt about the pregnancy.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that the man warned her not to share the incident with anybody by threatening to upload her video clip on the internet.
Sudha Singh ASP Rampur said, "We have registered the case under appropriate Sections of IPC. The victim has been sent for the medical examination."

Meanwhile, the accused and his family members are currently absconding.
