LUCKNOW: A 30-year-old man in Bareilly who was about to get married in the evening died while crossing a railway track at a village, as he was speaking on the phone.

The incident took place at Nandosi village in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district.

Identified as Naresh Pal Gangwar, the man was an engineer by profession. He was reportedly talking on phone and texting on another when an express train crushed him.

According to a passerby, Gangwar did not notice that the train was coming towards him as he was hooked on his mobile phones.  

The news of his death reached his family at around 9 AM when they were busy making the last-minute arrangements for the wedding.

Media reports suggest that Gangwar family is currently under tremendous shock, following the incident.

Superintendent of police (SP), Bareilly city, Rohit Singh Sajwan said that as per initial investigation, it is an accident case and not suicide.

The body has, meanwhile, been sent for autopsy.
