Lucknow: The feud in the Samajwadi Party seems far from over with its founder Mulayam Singh Yadav reiterating his differences with former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and son Akhilesh Yadav.
 
Addressing a press conference in Lucknow on Monday, the Samajwadi leader said that though his blessings remained with son Akhilesh, he did not agree with the decisions taken by him.
 
“My blessings are with Akhilesh as he is my son, but I do not agree with the decisions taken by him,” he said.
 
When asked by reporters on which decisions he disagreed with, the veteran politician refused to elaborate.
 
The former UP chief minister, however, urged all Samajwadi leaders to unite and take on the “divisive forces”.

 
He further took on the Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath governments, accusing them of not fulfilling any of their promises.
 
The hint of an imminent split in the SP came on Sunday when Mulayam and his brother-aide Shivpal Yadav stayed away from a state convention of the party - which they had founded 25 years ago - saying they were not invited.

Following the press conference by the SP founder, Akhilesh took to Twitter to hail his father’s decision to not float a new party. He tweeted:
