Sitapur: Looks like Uttar Pradesh Police are a pro when it comes to tracing missing buffaloes of ministers.

Two buffaloes of BJP Hargaon MLA Suresh Rahi have gone missing in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur. The minister filed a complaint in this regard after which the police began a probe into it.

The cost of buffaloes is said to be Rs 1 lakh each.

In the past, the state police successfully traced down the stolen buffaloes of the then minister Azam Khan and former union minister Ram Shankar Katheria.

At least seven buffaloes were stolen from a barn owned by Azam Khan in Rampur in January 2014, following which dog squads, crime branch sleuths and police personnel were put on the job to find them.

The bovines were rescued after an intensive overnight search and five of the accused were nabbed earlier.
