Mumbai: Sunil Grover on Wednesday clarified that he wishes to work with dignity and money will never be a factor to determine the kind of work he chooses to do. But the makers are reportedly keen to have him back on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
According to a report in DNA, efforts are being made to bring him back on board.
“It’s not just Kapil’s show, even the channel has invested in it. Sunil has a contract with the channel and he cannot just leave it. He, on the other hand, has told them he doesn’t want to return to Kapil’s show, but they can utilise him for their other shows,” the report quoted sources as saying.
It is also being said that Sunil may return if he is not asked to share the same frame or have interactions with Kapil.
Interestingly, Sunil had appeared in the grand finale episode of Indian Idol 10 last weekend. He wowed audiences with his portrayals of Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi and in the end got appreciated by judges – Sonu Nigam, Farah Khan and Annu Malik – for his comic act that left everyone in splits.
For the uninitiated, Sunil decided to boycott Kapil’s show after the latter reportedly abused his verbally on flight a few weeks back. Besides Sunil, Ali Asgar (who played Nani) and Chandan Prabhakar (who played Chaiwala) too have distanced themselves from the show.
