Mumbai: Kapil Sharma, who is undergoing treatment at an Ayurvedic clinic in Bengaluru, may have promised to return with his show soon but latest reports suggest that the next season of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ may get delayed. Reason – Sunil Grover’s TV comeback.

According to a report in dnaindia.com originally attributed to Times of India , Sunil, who is famous for portraying Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Babhi is gearing up for his new show on the same channel and team Kapil members could be a part of it.

Kiku Sharda from TKSS and Sugandha Mishra besides Ali Asgar from Krushna Abhishek’s ‘The Drama Company’ are likely to join Sunil. Buzz also suggests that Grover and Sharda have started rehearsing for the new show which is expected to go on air in October.

This would mean that TKSS may not resume in October. Moreover chances of Kiku, Sugandha and the other members of team Kapil returning to TKFF are slim because of Rajiv Dhingra (the man believed to have been responsible for the star comedian’s downfall).

“Kapil's friends (actors) who have worked with him and stood by him during thick and thin still love him. But they don't want to be associated with Kapil till the time creative control of the show is in the hands of Rajiv Dhingra. Because of the debacle of Mad In India which also had Sunil. They don't want to do any show where Rajiv is creatively involved or has an upper hand. So the entire team of actors have decided to work on another show,” the TOI report further quoted a source as saying.

However, Kapil had rubbished rumours that had held Rajiv responsible for the mess up.

And the big question is – will core members of team Kapil join hands with Sunil?
