New Delhi: The highly awaited season of Game Of Thrones will return in the year 2019, confirmed HBO on their website. Even though reports were that the final season will air in 2019 and a while ago, actor Sophie Turner had confirmed the same, there had never been an official confirmation from the channel on the same.

Talking about the series, Game Of Thrones released its first season in June 2011.
Today, the show is one of the most talked about programmes and fans are already finding it hard to wait for the final season.
Season 7 of Game of Thrones had suffered a lot of setbacks with some of the episodes being leaked before the official release. In season 8, the makers have filmed different endings to avoid such setbacks.
However, a few days ago, a Reddit user had reportedly leaked scripts of some episodes from season 8.
