'Bigg Boss 11': Common contestants won't get participation fee?

India's hit television show, Bigg Boss will be back with season 11 within a couple of months. People are eagerly waiting for the reality show high on entertainment quotient to go on air.

New Delhi: India's hit television show, 'Bigg Boss' will be back with season 11 within a couple of months. People are eagerly waiting for the reality show high on entertainment quotient to go on air.

However, there's a piece of news that has startled all of us.

According to a Bollywood Life report, in 'Bigg Boss 11', the contestants who belong to the common population will not be paid any participation fee. There are chances that they'll get to earn money though, by participating in contests and there are going to be some special bonuses for the ones who get TRPs. Even the ones who make it to the finals will win some amount but, the ones who are merely participating will not earn anything. 

Since season 10 of the show, the gates of the Bigg Boss house have opened up for commoners. Earlier, only celebrities used to be invited to the show.

Manveer Gurjar who entered the house as a commoner, won the show and is a celebrity today.
