New Delhi: A WhatsApp message is doing rounds that Airtel is offering Unlimited 4G/ 3G data for 3 months. This is how it goes:

Get Airtel free Internet/ and free 300 minutes Local calling every month for next 3 Months. So activate this offer,Thanks, airtel I got Unlimited Data. Dial 123 to Check your balance. *Enjoy Friends*"
If the language of the message is not a straight giveaway, the attached link "http://offer-for-all.com/" says it all. It is advised not to click on any link that you don't recognise or have a doubt about.
Please click on the given link in your message at your own risk. The viral message could be a ploy to steal your personal data, because a click on the link does not take one to Airtel's Homepage,. but to some other page with a red colour background.
You are asked to fill in information like your name, mobile number and your state. You are also asked to share the the message with 8 of your WhatsApp contacts.
It could be a trick to plant a malware to install certain apps into your system without your knowledge and linking you to a remote server.
Do you think an authentic offer by Airtel will just be advertised only through WhatsApp?
