New Delhi, Jan 30: The parents of the students studying in Delhi’s private schools on Friday protested the recent state cabinet decision of a hike in student fees.

The collected at Janpath in Connaught Place and lamented the betrayal by the Delhi government. Protestors are demanding a rollback of the fee hike saying that their entire budget has gone upside down due to it. This is because following this decision, van drivers’ salaries are also slated to rise and the tuition fees has also risen.

Some parents criticised the government for its double standards saying that while on the one hand, it talks of education for all, on the other it hikes school fees.

The Delhi cabinet had recently given the green signal for a slab-wise hike in private school fees ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 500.
