Mumbai terror strikes: German officials meet Mumbai police

An eight-member delegation of German officials, led by Federal Police chief Joerg Ziercke, on Friday met city`s senior police officers and discussed details of the November 26 terror attacks.

Mumbai, Jan 23: An eight-member delegation of German officials, led by Federal Police chief Joerg Ziercke, on Friday met city`s senior police officers and discussed details of the November 26 terror attacks.
The delegation, which held discussions with senior
officials in Delhi yesterday, met Mumbai Police Commissioner
Hasan Gafoor and other senior police officers regarding the
attacks and investigations carried out since then, a senior
official said.

"The delegation and our officials discussed the incident,
how the police handled it and investigations into the November
26 attacks," the official said.

The delegation is also likely to visit the sites of the
terror attacks including the Hotels Taj, the Oberoi and
Nariman House, he said.

Three German nationals were among those killed in the
carnage.

The German delegation had yesterday met with senior
officials in Delhi including National Security Advisor (NSA) M
K Narayanan, Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta, CBI Director
Ashwini Kumar and IB Director Rajiv Mathur.

Ziercke had said the chief of Germany`s elite commando
force GSG-9 Olaf Linder is expected to visit India late next
month to discuss ways and means to train commando units here.
