Main accused in Govind Pansare murder case gets bail
Kolhapur Court has granted bail to Virendra Tawde, the main accused in rationalist Govind Pansare murder case. He had been lodged in jail since 2016 after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had filed a chargesheet in the case naming him as the key conspirator in the case.

Maharashtra CID to seek custody of Dabholkar murder accused Virendra Tawde
Maharashtra CID would seek custody of Virendra Tawde, alleged member of right-wing group Sanatan Sanstha who has been arrested in rationalist Narendra Dabholkar murder case, to ascertain if there was a conspiracy linking the killings of activist Govind Pansare and Dabholkar, the probe agency informed the Bombay High Court on Monday.

Email had told Tawde to focus on Dabholkar months before his murder: CBI
Sanatan Sanstha member Virendra Tawde, arrested by the CBI in connection with the 2013 murder of Narendra Dabholkar, had received a direction through an e-mail asking him to "concentrate" on the anti-superstition crusader, around 2-3 months before the latter was shot dead.
