French car major Renault plans to venture into used car business in India in the second half of this year as it looks to strengthen its position in the country, where it aims to have 5 percent market share by the end of 2016.

"Renault will be getting into used car business. We have already established a team now. The used car business in India is growing very strong," Renault India Country CEO and Managing Director Sumit Sawhney told reporters here.
