Iran issues more visas to Canadian team probing crash and helping families

Iran has issued eight more visas to a team of Canadian officials following a fatal plane crash near Tehran and most members of the group should be in Tehran on Monday, Canadian Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne said on Sunday.

Gold slips from near seven-year high amid US-Iran tensions

Deficit-hit palladium meanwhile hit another record peak on the back of prolonged supply constraints in the market. Spot gold was down 0.1% at $1,564.31 per ounce as of 1257 GMT, having fallen as much as 0.7% earlier in the session. It touched its highest since April 2013 at $1,582.59 on Monday. US gold futures were 0.2% lower at $1,566.00.

Gold prices down from near 7-year high as US-Iran tensions ease

Spot gold fell 0.2% to $1,562.81 per ounce by 0107 GMT. In the previous session, prices hit their highest since April 2013 at $1,582.59.

Oil inches up as Iran and United States trade threats

Brent crude futures rose 22 cents to $68.82 a barrel by 12:19 p.m. EST (1719 GMT), after soaring to a high of $70.74 a barrel from Friday`s settlement. US West Texas Intermediate crude was up 7 cents at $63.12 a barrel after touching $64.72, its highest since April. Oil pared gains during the session.
