Citing India as example, Pakistan senator voices demonetization of Rs 1,000, Rs 5,000 notes
A Pakistani opposition party lawmaker has submitted a resolution in the Senate to withdraw 1,000 and 5,000 rupee notes from circulation in the country to tackle corruption, citing the example of India where Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered withdrawal of 500 and 1,000 rupee notes from circulation.
