Pakistan on Sunday reported more than 400 coronavirus cases for a second consecutive day. Karachi`s positivity rate was also recorded at 21.71 per cent -- the highest in the country, according to Pakistan`s media.

Sputnik V COVID vaccine: Importer threatens Pakistan if desired price not fixed soon, may sell it to other country

The drug pricing committee of DRAP had recommended Rs 8,449 for two doses of the vaccine, which is not acceptable to the importer," an official of the federal government told Geo.tv. The importer also said selling the shipment to some other country was "an option if an appropriate price is not fixed" of their product.

Pakistan to take part in India-led initiative on COVID-19 crisis

In March 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a SAARC meet on the COVID-19 pandemic. The meet saw all the SAARC heads of govt and state taking part barring Pakistan. One of the key outcomes of the meet was the establishment of the SAARC emergency fund, with India contributing USD 10 million to it.
